amusing explanationes about these special animals and the complex education

The art of hunting with the birds of prey is unique
with it’s close relationship of trust and the mutual
understanding between human and animal.

Our birds will show their courage, speed and skills
with exciting hunts on dummies. In the next moment
they’ll allow audience members to pet or feed them.

Emperor Frederick II wrote about the „Art of Hunting
with the Birds“ in his legendary book about falconry
and ornithology. We bring this time of history back
to life – the heyday of falconry.

The Irish Wolfhound is one of the biggest breed
of dogs in the world. They are considered to be
a lamb in the house, but a lion on the hunt.

Our Irish Wolfhounds are going to show their
impressive height and their rapid speed at the
Wolfhound race in the arena. We show up to
ten of these wonderful hounds as a Wolfhoundpack
in the show. In combination with horses and birds
of prey its a unique arrangement in Europe.

Experience wild animals and watch their
unconstrained co-work with horses and hounds.
It’ll give you a fascinating insight in a way of
hunting that’s almost forgotten.

In our royal camp we present well appointed and
lovingly decorated tents with a lot of demonstration
material as well as our birds of prey and Irish Wolfs.

Our specialty: Lovingly and audience orientated
presence, especially for the kids.
On top of that we give our visitors the opportunity to
get pictures taken with a falcon or eagle on their fist
or with an Irish Wolfhound at their feet.

The friendship between human beings and
birds of prey started round about 4000 years
ago in the endless deserts of the orient.

To this day the falcon is a part of the arabian
tradition and is also honored as a divinity.

Follow us into an exciting world filled with
archaic hunting customs leading us to the
beginnings of falconry.

We offer you a 15 – 30 minute colorful program
with falcons, Harris Hawks, sight hounds
and actors on horse back or riding a camel,
combined with a professional moderation
underlined with exotic music.

Sheherazade and her stories of 1001 nights.
This is a 90 minutes show with 30 actors, our birds
and hounds, arab horses and camels.
Or you follow us to the desert of Lybia on the tracks
of the three holy kings visiting the christian child
in our Christmas-show.

Follow us to Mongolia where the families of
the Bjerkutschi live. Their knowledge of hunting
with the eagle was never written down. Since
4000 years it is passed on from generation to
generation, from the father to the son.

Up to 700 falconers followed the legendary
Genghis Khan on his war of conquest. Probably
to provide food for his gigantic military force.
The hunt with the eagle on fox or wolf is one
of the most fascinating natrual spectacles
in the world.

You have the opportunity to see the white Gyrfalcon
and the mongolian steppe eagle hunting on lure
and dummy. The falconers on horseback show their
skills with the lance and archery in gallop.
Furthermore they send their beautiful pure bred
horses into a fast race with the sighthound pack.

Enjoy the beautiful dressed actors in authentic
costumes. Follow our moderation to exotic
mongolian music on the tracks of Ghengis Khan.

This program is a co-production with the
Lady of Arrows - Andrea Tigges-Angelides -
and her selftrained Arabian horse Sahira.
